Certain foods increase production of adrenal hormones, leading to increased stress and inflammation. A constant increase in production of these hormones can lead to adrenal fatigue. In this day and age, more and more people suffer with adrenal fatigue because our lifestyle is so stressful. However, what most people don’t realize is that chronic stress takes a toll on their health and well-being.
Conditions and symptoms like allergies, eczema, blood sugar dysregulation, fatigue, digestive problems, anxiety, and depression can be attributed to prolonged or chronic stress. Dietary changes, like eliminating foods that increase adrenal gland output and therefore inflammation can help reduce symptoms of allergy. Here is a list of foods to avoid to combat these issues!
-Gluten- a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley can cause inflammation and increased adrenal hormone secretion
-White sugar– increases insulin and cortisol levels, which increase inflammation
–Alcohol– turns into sugar and is a stimulant that causes overproduction of adrenal hormones
–Fried foods– increases inflammatory response in the body
–Dairy- many people have allergies and sensitivities to the casein found in dairy. This causes an inflammatory response
-Caffeine- increases adrenal hormone production
