5 Ways to Supercharge Weight Loss

Many people may want to do a detox, body cleanse, or a fast to jumpstart.  But what if you are a diabetic? Fasting and many fad diets can do more harm than good. What about someone that has cancer? Obviously, they should not be on the same program as a healthy individual. Seek professional advice before starting any program.

Here I share five simple ways to supercharge your weight loss journey.

1. Detox

Why is it so popular? It helps the body to eliminate toxins, which help your organs and glands to be more efficient. There are many ways to detox and many reasons to detox. Make sure you have professional advise before you start.

2. Regular exercise

This should consist of aerobic as well as anaerobic or resistance training. Examples of aerobic exercise are walking, kick box, Zumba, biking, and running. Examples of anaerobic are lifting weights, yoga, push-ups, and squats. Both systems are important and help your body to become stronger and more efficient.

3. Decrease emotional eating

When stressed many people turn to junk food or even binge eating. Keep track of your eating habits when you are stressed, take notice of your thoughts and then try to reprogram your response.

4. Get an adequate amount of sleep

Usually 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep a day is enough for most people.

5. Set realistic goals

Decide how many pounds and inches you want to lose and set weekly and monthly goals. Then break it down into a reasonable timeframe. For instance, if you want to lose 10 pounds, the first question is how much can you lose in a week. Usually 1-2 pounds a week is an average. Time frame would be eight weeks. Usually the first week you will lose the most because there is water loss. This will help you gain momentum. Do the same for the inches.
